You keep control
Keep up to 3 voices, name them, and delete one whenever you like. Deleting removes the recording; videos already made keep their sound.
Good to know
- Your own voice is on paid plans. Free accounts can see where to record, and upgrading unlocks it.
- A video narrated in your own voice can be up to 3 minutes long.
- It is slower than the standard voices: allow about 5 minutes of waiting for each minute of narration.
- It narrates AI Agent videos, series episodes, translations and Remix. It is not a way to put your voice on a video you filmed.
Why we ask you to read a sentence
A voice that sounds like you is useful, and it can be misused. So a voice can only be made from a live reading of a sentence that we show you, with three words chosen at random. Our system listens, and keeps the voice only if it heard the whole sentence and all three words.
That means it can't be made from a clip of a stranger, a celebrity or someone who doesn't know. It can only be the voice of the person who agreed to read the sentence.
The narration it makes is marked with an inaudible audio watermark that identifies it as AI-made. Nobody hears it, and it stays in the file.
Questions about your own voice
How much do I have to record?
One sentence, about 10 seconds. The recording is checked and the voice is made from it.
Can I clone someone else's voice?
No. A voice is made only from a live reading of a sentence with three random words, so it can only be the voice of the person reading it.
Which languages can I record in?
English, Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic. Once made, the voice can narrate in all 11 narration languages.
Is it on the free plan?
Making a voice needs a paid plan. A voice you already made keeps working.
How long can a video in my voice be?
Up to 3 minutes. It takes longer to make than a video with a standard voice.
Can I delete my voice?
Yes, any time, in Account under Voices. The recording is deleted, and videos you already made keep their sound.
