How to apply to be hired by Kwai
Kwai calls the creators it pays directly Contract Creators, or signed creators. Its creator page says such a creator “signs a contract with Kwai officially and is paid directly by our platform”. There are two ways in: you apply yourself, or an agency that works with Kwai invites you.
The direct route, as Kwai’s help center describes it:
- 1
Check that you can apply
Kwai says you can be hired directly only when you are not in the creator program at the moment.
- 2
Open Hired Creator
In the app, go to Creator Center, then Hired Creator. Another help page calls the same sign-up “Contract Creator” in Creator Centre.
- 3
Tap Apply Now
If your profile meets the requirements listed on that screen, tap Apply Now. Give true information: Kwai says false information puts your profile on its block list.
- 4
Wait for the invitation
Kwai’s team checks the application. If you are approved, the invitation arrives within 10 days from the TopKwaiersOfficial account. Watch your private messages and notifications.
Popular somewhere else? Kwai says that if your profile does not meet the requirements yet, but your videos are very popular outside Kwai and fully yours, you can sign up with the link at the bottom of the same screen.
Kwai does not publish the Hired Creator requirements on the web. They show in the app, so the exact numbers for your account are the ones on that screen.
What Kwai asks of a Contract Creator
These are the conditions Kwai’s pages give. The first four are on Kwai’s creator agency page, which lists who can be in the Creator Program; the last two are in the help center.
| Condition | What Kwai says |
|---|---|
| Age | Over 18 years old. |
| Content | Original videos. |
| Rules | Content that does not break the community guidelines. |
| Audience | A high number of followers on other social media. Kwai gives no number. |
| Other programs | You can apply directly only when you are not in the creator program now. |
| Information | True information. False information puts the profile on the block list. |
Kwai gives no follower count for the Hired Creator route on the web. The 100,000 followers you may read about belong to something else, the verification seal, covered at the end of this guide.
Joining through an agency
An agency that works with Kwai can bring you into the program instead. What Kwai’s help center says about this route:
- The invitation expires 7 days after the message is sent. If you open it later, you see a notice that it has expired, and you must ask for a new one.
- If your agency says it sent the invitation and you cannot find it, open Chat, then Kwai Messages, and look in the conversation with the TopKwaiersOfficial account.
- Payment: Kwai says either the platform pays you through the Kwai wallet or your agency pays you. If you are paid through an agency, confirm the process with the agency.
- Agencies apply to Kwai with their company name, a presentation of the company, their CNPJ (the Brazilian company number) and examples of their creators.
Kwai’s pages name no agency. Kwai says the invitation is in the app, in the chat with TopKwaiersOfficial, so look for it there before you accept an offer.
Which videos are paid: the items on the Contract Creator page
The Contract Creator page in the app shows how your payment is calculated. Kwai’s help center defines each item on it:
- 15,000views in 7 days for a paid video
- 0.7satisfaction rating below which a video is not paid
- 10day of the next month the monthly report comes
| Item | Kwai’s definition |
|---|---|
| Paid video | An approved video with over 15,000 views: views in 7 days, on the For You page, of more than 3 seconds. |
| Approved video | A video with no content problems. |
| Unapproved video | Not paid: banned videos, low-satisfaction videos, e-commerce videos and private or deleted videos. |
| Video satisfaction | Positive votes divided by all the votes the video received. |
| Low satisfaction | A satisfaction rating under 0.7. The video goes to the “Not approved” tab. |
| Creator satisfaction | Positive votes divided by all the votes on every video you posted in the month. |
| Active day | A day with at least 1 video published and visible to everyone. |
| Active day rate | Active days divided by the total days. Kwai’s example: joining on 15/10 with 16 active days up to 31/10 gives 100%. |
| Paid video rate | Paid videos divided by all the videos posted in the month. |
| Banned video rate | Banned videos divided by paid videos. Kwai says it can be over 100%. |
| Description rate | Videos with a description divided by all the videos of the month. Hashtags alone are not a description. |
| Total videos posted | Every video of the month, deleted, blocked and private ones included. |
Kwai gives no money amount for a paid video. What a paid video earns is in your own policy or contract, which Kwai says sits in the top right corner of the Contract Creator page.
Videos Kwai does not pay
Kwai’s list of videos not approved for payment (in Portuguese, read 30 October 2026) is long. The groups that matter most to a creator:
- Copied: screen recordings of a phone, computer or TV, videos copied from other people, and watermarks or names of other apps, changed ones too (Kwai’s example is “TikT@k”).
- Not original: simple reuse of social media material, green-screen commentary on news, films or other people’s videos, and videos where you appear only at the start before someone else’s video plays.
- Spam: videos that tease and never finish, ask for donations, show a link or a phone number, or trick people into likes and follows, and very short videos of 7 seconds or less.
- Ads: product information, links, QR codes or contact details, except videos of an approved paid task.
- Low quality: random videos, duets, videos made of photos, a poor picture or format, videos with borders, screenshots, videos shot in the dark and videos turned 90 or 180 degrees.
- Unsafe content: minors alone or at risk, violence and blood, disgusting or shocking scenes, tobacco, alcohol and drugs, vulgar content, false information and controversial content.
Repeated videos too: if you post a video you already posted, Kwai says the system can mark it as a duplicate, and its views on the payment page can stay at 0. Kwai’s advice is to always post new, original videos.
Fines and deductions
Kwai’s help center says a fine shows on your report only if your policy or contract has a fine rule. When it does:
- Too many ads: if advertising videos are more than 80% of your videos, the fine is 40% of the total amount.
- Too few descriptions: if fewer than 80% of your videos have a description, the fine is 5%.
- Each fine goes back to zero once both rates meet the rule.
- An adjusted amount is different: a deduction linked to a problem with your content, which Kwai usually tells you about in a message.
When and where Kwai pays a Contract Creator
Kwai’s help center gives this calendar for creators the platform pays directly. If you joined through an agency, Kwai says to confirm the process with the agency.
- Daily report: on the Contract Creator page. It runs on UTC+8 time, is not live, and is for reference only: the final figure can change.
- Monthly report: on the 10th of the following month. Kwai says it can be late, but by no more than 2 days.
- Payment: usually at the end of the following month. Kwai says it sends a message if a payment is delayed.
- Where: Settings, then Wallet, then Dollar Wallet.
- Withdrawal: Kwai says the money can arrive within 5 working days after a successful withdrawal.
- Not there after 7 days: check your details, ask your bank, then send feedback from Support in the top right corner of the Contract Creator page, with your Kwai ID, profile link, the amount and date, a print of the wallet record and a bank statement.
Why the numbers differ: the Contract Creator page counts only the views your policy counts, follows UTC+8 time and can be up to 48 hours late, while your profile shows live views. The reports also leave out approved videos worth zero.
After you are hired
Joining changes how Kwai treats your account. Kwai’s help center says so plainly:
- More reviews: before, your videos were not reviewed as often. As a creator, the review team checks your content more often, so quality and the rules matter more, or posting can be restricted and views can fall.
- Policy changes: Kwai says it warns you in the app in advance and in the creators’ WhatsApp groups.
- A blocked or private video comes with a message from Kwai Brasil Oficial with a review link. For a video not approved for payment, ask for a review in Creator Center, then Contracted Creator, then Support, with the video link.
- Live: to request Live permission, open the Live tab. If you do not see it, contact Support from the Contracted Creator page.
The verification seal is a different thing
Being hired and being verified are not the same. The seal is separate, and Kwai’s help center asks for this:
- Followers: more than 100,000 followers on Kwai, or a verified account on another social network.
- Content: original videos, and no screen recordings.
- Rules: a low rate of blocked or private videos.
- How: Creator Center, then Creator Verification, with a photo of you holding your ID and photos of both sides of the ID. With fewer than 100,000 followers, add screenshots and the link of your verified account elsewhere.
- Time: about 1 week, and the information cannot be changed after you submit. After several failed reviews you wait 30 days to apply again.
Which countries, and Kwai’s other programs
Kwai publishes no list of countries for the Contract Creator program. Its pages point to Brazil: the review messages come from Kwai Brasil Oficial, agencies give a CNPJ, and the Portuguese help center says the same as the English one. Payment goes to a Dollar Wallet.
Being hired is one of several ways Kwai pays. The Ad Revenue Program, which you join yourself from Creator Center, has its own published conditions. Our Kwai monetization guide covers each program with Kwai’s own rules.
If you live outside Brazil, look for Hired Creator in your own Creator Center. If it is not there, Kwai’s pages do not say the program is open to you.
Before you apply
- You are not in another Kwai creator program now, and Hired Creator shows in your Creator Center.
- Your videos are your own: no screen recordings, no other apps’ watermarks and no reposts.
- At least 80% of your videos have a real description, not only hashtags, and no more than 80% are ads.
- You know where the money goes, the Dollar Wallet or your agency, and that the monthly report comes on the 10th.
