AI story videos
from an idea to a narrated video

Write the idea for a story, a legend or a tale. The AI writes the script with a hook in the first sentence, draws a picture for each moment, narrates it in a natural voice and adds the captions. You review it, change what you like and export.

How to make an AI story video

  1. 1

    Write your story idea

A sentence is enough: "The legend of a river ghost" or "a lonely dinosaur who can't roar". Already have a script? Paste it and it is kept word for word.

  2. 2

Choose the look, the voice and the length

Pick one of 17 looks, a narrator, a language out of 11, a length from 1 to 10 minutes and a shape: vertical, wide, square or 4:5.

  3. 3

    Review, edit and export

Look through the scenes, change a line or a picture, pick the music and export the video with its captions.

What makes the story

A script written to be heard

It opens on the most surprising detail, uses short sentences and keeps each picture matched to what the narrator says.

17 looks

From realistic and cinematic to anime, watercolor, claymation, noir and spooky. The same character keeps one look from picture to picture.

A narrator in 11 languages

Natural voices in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Arabic, Russian, Japanese, Korean or Chinese. Paid plans can use their own voice.

Captions and music

Word-by-word captions in 15 styles, burned into the video, and background music picked to fit the mood.

Good to know

  • The free plan makes videos up to 1 minute and puts a small watermark on the export. Longer videos and removing the watermark need a paid plan.
  • Pictures are drawn by AI image models, which now and then refuse a prompt. A refused picture is dropped and the scene keeps its others.
  • Redrawing, editing or animating a picture is part of the paid plans; swapping a picture for stock or your own upload, and editing the narration, are free.
  • The AI writes from your idea. For a real person or event it is told to say only what is true, but read the script before you post it: the video is yours.

What makes a good story idea

Start with what is surprising. "A girl sets the Day of the Dead altar for her grandfather for the first time" gives the AI a person, a moment and a feeling; "a story about death" gives it nothing to open on. The writer is told to start on the most striking concrete detail, so give it one.

Say who is in the story and what they look like, once. The same description is used for every picture, which is how a character stays recognisable from scene to scene. For a character you want in every video, save them in Characters and add them to the idea.

Keep to one story. A legend, a short tale, a love story told in letters or a bedtime story for a child fit a video of 1 to 5 minutes; a longer one can run to 10. If you only need one animated moment with sound, a scene is the better tool.

Questions about AI story videos

How does an AI story video generator work?

You write the idea. The AI writes a script in scenes, draws a picture for each moment, voices the script with a narrator and adds captions and music. You then review the result, edit any scene and export the video.

How long can the video be?

From 1 to 10 minutes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 or 10. The free plan makes 1-minute videos.

Can I use my own script?

Yes. Paste your script as the idea and it is kept word for word, with the pictures, voice and captions made around it.

Can I keep the same character in every video?

Yes. Save a character once in Characters, with its name and look, and add it to your videos or a series. It is drawn with the same face and clothes each time.

Which languages can the narrator speak?

English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Arabic, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. A finished video can also be translated into another of them.

Can I edit the video after it is made?

Yes. Change the narration of any scene, swap a picture for stock footage or your own file, add, delete or reorder slides, change the voice, the music and the caption style.

Is it free?

You can start free: the free plan includes AI videos every month, up to 1 minute each, with a small watermark. Paid plans make longer videos without the watermark.

Turn your story into a video

Write the idea and the AI does the rest: script, pictures, voice and captions.
