What Is AI Clipping?

AI Clipping is Clip-Short’s tool that finds the strongest moments in a long video and cuts them into vertical clips with captions, keeping the speaker in frame.

You paste a YouTube link or upload a file, choose how many clips you want and, if you like, what to look for. The AI reads the video’s words, picks moments that stand on their own, and gives each clip a score and the reason it was picked. Each clip comes with word-by-word captions and a crop that follows the speaker.

Before exporting you can trim a clip, fix a caption word, change the framing, cut pauses or add a hook title. A clip can then become a Remix, a commentary video built around it.

The free plan includes 60 minutes of video a month for AI Clipping, Auto Caption and Reframe, exported with a small watermark, with no card. The Clip pack, US$5.99 once, adds 120 minutes of clipping that do not expire, every clip of those videos without the watermark, and 3 remixes. Pro is US$19 a month per bundle, with 5 hours of video and 10 AI videos, and no watermark.

Questions

Is AI Clipping free?

Yes, to start: 60 minutes of video a month, no card, with a small watermark on exports. The Clip pack and Pro remove it.

What videos can I clip?

A YouTube link or a file you upload. Use your own videos, or ones you have permission to use.

Can I edit the clips?

Yes: trim, fix captions, change the framing, cut pauses and add a hook title before you export.

What is the difference between AI Clipping and Reframe?

AI Clipping picks moments and makes several short clips. Reframe changes the shape of one whole video, such as 16:9 to 9:16.

How does AI Clipping choose the moments?

It reads the video’s words and looks for moments that stand on their own, with a clear start and a strong line. You can also tell it what to look for.
