How to start a clips channel
that adds something of its own

Clips channels cut long videos into short ones. The ones that last add something: a point of view, a title, a comment. Here is a plain way to start, with the tools to do it.

The AI cuts the best moments into captioned vertical clips. Remix a clip into a video you can monetize, or dub it into 4 languages. 60 free minutes a month.

  • Free to try
  • Remix adds your angle
  • Dub for other languages

How it works

  1. 1

Pick a source you have the right to use

Your own long videos, a podcast you host, or a creator who allows clips. Ask first and keep the answer.

  2. 2

    Cut the best moments

Paste the link in AI Clipping. The AI picks the strongest moments and cuts captioned vertical clips. Fix any caption word.

  3. 3

Add your own angle with Remix

Make a clip into a video with a title card, a narrated hook and your commentary between parts of the clip. Choose how much the AI comments.

  4. 4

    Post and repeat

Use the Post dialog for the words and the share sheet for the file. Post on a steady rhythm, and try Dub for a second language.

The tools in one place

AI Clipping

Long video in, captioned vertical clips out, each with a title, a score and a reason.

Remix

A title card, a narrated hook, commentary at pauses, notes and a closing, all editable. This is how a clip becomes your video.

Dub

The same clip in English, Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic, with captions in the new language.

Words for each platform

The Post dialog writes a title and description for YouTube, TikTok and Instagram in your language.

Good to know

  • YouTube asks channels that reuse other people's videos to add something of their own. Nothing guarantees approval or income.
  • Clip-Short does not check rights to a video or its music. Clip only what you may.
  • Paid plans give more minutes and remove the watermark. The pricing page shows the price in your own currency.
  • Free to try. The free plan includes 60 minutes of video processing a month and puts a small watermark on exports. Paid plans have more minutes and no watermark.

Questions about clips channels

Can I make money with a clips channel?

Nobody can promise it. It depends on the platform's rules, your audience and whether you have the right to the videos. YouTube asks channels that reuse videos to add something of their own, and Remix is built to help with that.

Do I need permission to clip someone's video?

Yes, unless the video allows reuse. Many podcasts and creators allow clips and some invite clippers. Ask first, and keep the answer. Clip-Short does not check rights.

What does Remix add to a plain clip?

A title card, a narrated hook, pauses where the AI comments on what was said (light, balanced or lots of commentary), notes over the clip, and a closing. You can edit every part.

Can I reach other languages?

Yes. Dub says a clip again in English, Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic, and the captions follow. Each language is its own export.

Does Clip-Short post for me?

No. You post yourself. The Post dialog writes a title and description for each platform, and on a phone the share sheet sends the file to the app.

Can I check my channel against YouTube's rules?

Yes. Our free monetization checker reads a channel's last 10 videos against YouTube's published policies. It is an estimate, not YouTube's decision.

Is it free?

Yes, to try. The free plan includes 60 minutes of video processing a month and adds a small watermark. A paid plan removes the watermark and gives more minutes.

Can I fix the captions?

Yes. Tap a word in the transcript to fix it before you export. You can also download the captions as an SRT, VTT or text file.

What formats can I export?

Vertical 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. You can also choose 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9.

How long can the video be?

A long video is read in parts, so the clips come from the whole video and not only the start. The longer the video, the longer the analysis takes.

Can I put a clip in another language?

Yes. Dub says the clip again in English, Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic, with a different voice for each speaker, and puts the captions in the new language.

Does it post the clips for me?

No. You post the clips yourself. On a phone the share sheet sends the file to the app, and you can set a reminder email for the time you want to post.
